What Makes Us Different?
-
Our greatest desire is to do what is right by your child and yourself.
-
We offer an evidence based scientific approach, but we never forget about your child's heart.
-
Play based therapy and sand play therapy are available.
-
We are a collaborative practice. This means that we work with your child, you as the parents/carer, their teachers, and other health professionals to provide a holistic approach to therapy.
-
Our team are all fully trained, registered and considered experts in this field.
We recommend the following approach.

The first appointment is a parent/carer consultation. This is a session where your child/children are not present. We use this first session to understand what is concerning you about your child. We will talk about your family history, any parenting challenges you may be facing and what are your goals and hopes for your child.

The second appointment is for your child. Your child may want you to stay in the room for comfort, or depending on their age, they may want the appointment all to themselves. Either way is fine by us and we ask you to be understanding of what your child wants in that moment.

After meeting with you and then your child, we will then discuss with you what we believe is the best approach based on your specific situation. Sometimes our work is primarily with your child with you as a support person. At other times, our work may be helping you to parent your child based on their unique needs. Usually, our work is a mixture of both.
We offer children's counselling and play therapy at our child friendly office located in Bella Vista, New South Wales, Australia.
